Samuel Thomas Holmes (born July 21st, 1989), better known as Sam Russell, is a British improv comedian, standup comedian, writer and radio producer. He is a member of Shoot From The Hip (SFTH), an award-winning, TikTok-viral British improv group. Within the group, he is known for his confidence on stage, his inappropriate/dirty jokes, his ability to mimic animal sounds, and his red plaid shirts. His notable roles as part of SFTH include Scottish Batman in "The Midnight Mystery" and Old Lady Margaery in "The Unrelenting Aubergine". He is also known for the quote "What a twist!" whenever he is surprised by a plot twist. As a writer, he has written the fantasy audio serial Evergreen, which is voiced by his mother, the actress Catherine Russell.
